Jay Leno is ‘handsome’ and ‘happy’ after suffering burns in car fire, Tim Allen says
In an exclusive interview, Tim Allen revealed that he’s seen a side of John Kennedy that he hasn’t seen before, and described the former senator as “handsome” and “happy,” despite being forced to leave the nation’s capital.
“I love him,” Allen said during a sit-down with CBS’s “The Late Show” that aired Monday night. “I’ve never been in a place like this before.”
Kennedy, who’s currently working as a White House Fellow, is in a car fire that killed his aide, a young woman, a New York Daily News report added.
“When we went to this man’s house, he said he was from the Senate, but he was obviously not a senator,” Allen stated. “You would expect senators to look out for each other.”
“The woman, who was with him, she was also in the car with him,” he added. “You see a lot of bad things when you work in Washington, and you see a lot of good things when you don’t … [We] were fortunate to be together, and to be able to tell her that we love her. We loved her. This wasn’t something that could have happened without the benefit of a good set of lungs.”
“This is what life is,” he said of the situation. “I have never been in a place like this before.”
Allen went on to say that the former Senate staffer “didn’t deserve to die that way, but she did.”
